OUR PROFESSIONAL STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS

In recent years, over 300 volunteers have supported the community each year with over 10,000 hours of service, providing assistance with food, clothing and help in addressing life cycle issues to enable others to improve their quality of life.

JFVS relies on the assistance of dedicated volunteers to provide valuable quality support to departments within the agency and in the community. JFVS employs their skills and talents delivering Meals on Wheels, making and delivering holiday food baskets, chairing committees, assisting the office staff or teaching English as a Second Language.

ESSENTIAL NEEDS: JFVS Essential Needs program and Kosher Food Pantry provide food, baby supplies and assistance to families in need throughout Middlesex County.

FAMILY LIFE EDUCATION: JFVS staff reaches out to the community with programs designed to stimulate thinking about issues that matter to families. JFVS educators offer programs in our meeting room as well as custom-designed on-site programs for community organizations or area companies. Programs can be offered in a single session or in multiple session formats.

SENIOR MEDICARE PATROL: Our Senior Medicare Patrol Program (SMP), formerly known as HAVE, the New Jersey Healthcare Volunteer Effort, provides workshops throughout the State to help educate older adults on how to detect fraud, waste, and abuse in Medicare and Medicaid.
